Nice, at one point that was like $210 worth of comics right there. I think I have a ToppsGold Brien Taylor Future Prospects I'll trade ya...

As far as shitty Valiant resurrected Gold Key comics go, the 12 or 13-year-old me dug the shit out of the early Turok. Bart Sears was always a good penciler, though he needed an inker that could keep up, or all his panels would look like a damn mess. Even the issues after Sears' run were pretty decent as they had Rags Morales doing the pencil work.

I am sure that the stories are hella budget now, as how many ways can you have a time-shifted indian fucking up dinosaurs? Though there wasn't much else for choice at the time. You probably had the ultra-shit Ultraverse from Malibu that lasted way longer than it needed to, Marvel was most assuredly up its own ass with some convoluted mutant storyline, and the rest of the titles were probably dying on the vine. That was probably one of the runs that resulted in Capwolf. Image was at the point where the shine had started to wear off and they started shipping the spin-offs from the original titles that were instantly like $15-50+, but I am almost certain those titles were on the other side of that spinner rack. I can't even imagine what DC was up to those days as I had always been a Marvel zombie up until college, but I am sure it was really good (no, it wasn't). I guess Dark Horse was doing some good stuff as that was about the time I got into Grendel with the War Child series (imagine my crushing disappointment when I found out that the original series weren't about ass-kicking cyborgs in the future...) and they were still doing good Aliens comics and not a billion crossovers of the week. No wonder the comics industry took a shit soon afterward.

Damn you, now I want to go back through some of those shit 90s comics (Doctor Mirage FTW!) but all those longboxes are at my parents...

I'll check the other side of the rack Spengalooooooooooor. I feel like there was also one of them bagged Death of Superman (shredded open by an eager 11 year old of course, but still in the black bag). But I know for sure there were fucktons of Turok up in that bitch.

Bring back NOW comics! Ralph Snart for the early 90s happy past life childhood win!
